Europa InSitu was a weblog-based communication platform sponsored by the European Parliament. Its aim was to raise awareness of the activities of the Parliament and other EU institutions. It was closed, and the domain parked, sometime before November 2012. ==Conception== Despite the amount of information available about the institutions of the European Union a large number of Citizens feel the EU is not close enough to them and their actual needs and lives. The European Parliament aims to provide relevant information to Europeans on European Affairs and the role played by the Parliament and, therefore, has supported the idea of creating this platform to connect the real people who are part of the European institutions and the general public.
